During this week without a screen encourage your children to play outside, read a book, create their own entertainment either on their own or with others. Play and entertaining is a skill like any other and we need to learn skills through practice. This week is the perfect time for your child to learn the skill of playing without a screen and how to entertain themselves without an external stimulation.
To make the most of this special week, encourage other parents, your school and those in your community to get involved. The more you involve others in the fun of screen free week the more fun it can be for your child, they will have a chance along with their friends to play in a different way.
